Privacy Policy
QuAI is a desktop writing assistant that corrects, rewrites, translates, and refines text selected by the user. This policy explains what data is used by the app and how privacy choices work.
Information QuAI Uses
QuAI processes the text, prompts, images, screenshots, or files that you explicitly provide to complete a correction or refinement request. This content is used for app functionality.
QuAI may store local app preferences, style definitions, shortcut settings, model settings, onboarding state, and analytics consent on your device. Gemini API keys are stored using platform secure storage when you choose to add one.
AI Providers
If you use offline models, supported local model files run on your device. If you enable Gemini, your correction content is sent to Google Gemini using the API key you provide. Gemini is optional and cloud models stay unavailable until a key is tested and saved in the app.
Analytics
Analytics are off by default. If you choose to share anonymous usage analytics, QuAI sends content-free product events such as app startup, correction flow outcomes, model provider changes, and offline model download actions.
Analytics never include selected text, prompts, outputs, screenshots, images, filenames, API keys, raw errors, or custom local model paths. You can turn analytics off from Settings at any time. Disabling analytics stops collection.
What QuAI Does Not Do
- QuAI does not sell personal data.
- QuAI does not use advertising trackers.
- QuAI does not require an account.
- QuAI does not send analytics unless you opt in.
Data Retention
Local settings remain on your device until you change them, reset the app, or uninstall the app. Offline model files remain on your device until you delete them. Content sent to a third-party AI provider is handled according to that provider's terms and policies.
